Mockingjay - Part I

There is no doubt that the next movie of Hunger Games series: Mocking Jay - part I to be released on November 19, 2014 will drive people crazy to the theaters. Despite of the extension to the Hunger Games and Catching Fire, this movie is bringing more attention due to the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman who portrayed Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games - Catching Fire. Even if changes were necessary and omission of the plot due to the violence described in the series, the moviesHhave been so farly true to the books.
Mochingjay is very distinct from both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. In the movie, Katniss Everdeen will no longer be the center of the story, but other characters will play an important role to the plot: Katniss´s little sister Primrose will prove that katniss is not the only family member with survival skills while we see a lot more of Gale as a rebel and Katniss´s best friend. The film will also allow us to see what happens to Peeta in the Capitol - after he is captured, as the book only shows from Katniss´s perspective.
The movie will introduce us to the new character President Coin who is the head of District 13 and played by famous actress Julianne Moore.
Despite of the changes, Mockingjay is a very difficult book to be brought to the screen because of the violent war as the central theme from the beggining to the end. No worries, after all, the movie promises to be as good as the book!

The Fault in Our Stars

“You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.”
― John GreenThe Fault in Our Stars

John Green proved to be such an amazing author for providing such a well-written story. I truly found elements that inspire me to become a writer. I can perfectly describe how it feels to lose someone you love.  By reading the Fault in Our Stars, my soul was able to dive completely into the story and understand the character´s feelings, insecurities and the loss for words. Augustus Waters & Hazel Grace were such characters with big thoughts in a plot where only adults are shallows.

Eve by Anna Carey

Where do you go when nowhere is safe?
After a deadly virus wiped out most of Earth's population, the world is a terrifying place.
Eighteen-year-old Eve has never been beyond the heavily guarded perimeter of her school, where she and two hundred other orphaned girls have been promised a bright future in The New America. But the night before graduation, Eve learns the shocking truth about her school's real purpose—and the horrifying fate that awaits her.
Fleeing the only home she's ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Caleb slowly wins her trust . . . and her heart. But when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.

I just finished reading this book Eve By Anna Carey and it is surprisingly beautiful. The characters are well developed as well and I can´t stop feeling sorry for Eve and Caleb. The ending is very sad and I
can´t wait to read the next two books of the series.

Maze Runner

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he remembers is his own name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.

Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

Everything is going to change.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

Remember. Survive. Run.

James Dashner totally amazed me with this book series. The characters feel very real and the plot is very creative. If you are a fan of the Hunger Games series, Maze Runner won´t disappoint you. After reading the first book of the series, I couldn´t put down the next 3 books and I thought it was a very enjoayable reading. Besides the many questions that were left unanswered at the end of the 4th book, I still believe Maze Runner is one of the best dystopian books I´ve read so far.

Hello!
I’m a beta reader who has critiqued about five writers. If you are a YA writer looking to become published or self-published, I will be very happy to help you with your manuscript.
I’m not always free, so I accept about one manuscript per month. This way, I will have the time to revise your work without rushing it.

Once I read your novel, I will critique it on the following:
Dialogue - Description Plot - Development - Character Development - Voice - Antagonist
As I will provide only an overall summary of what it needs to be improved at the end of each chapter and at the end of your novel, I also would like to inform you that I am not an editor and I don't intend to be one.  Since I´ve been reading pretty much my entire life, so why not helping people to achieve their goals by doing something I really love doing on my spare time?

Please be aware I will be very honest with my opinion, but of course you don't need to follow my suggestion.
Having said all that, I accept manuscripts of the following genres: young adult, urban fantasy, paranormal, and romance.
I am looking forward to read your manuscript.
